On Tuesday, Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan talked to reporters and had a message for Maurice Jones-Drew
: "Train is leaving the station. Run, get on it."
Apparently, Jones-Drew didn't take those words too kindly. A source has told ESPN's Adam Schefter that in light of those remarks by Khan, Jones-Drew would consider a trade. Even worse, Schefter tweeted, "Now the holdout for [Jones-Drew] shows no signs of letting up and is expected to extend into the regular season."
Fantasy Analysis:
Oh, boy. Any progess that may have been made in the last few days or weeks to resolve this situation now seems to have been completely negated by a few words. But hey, if MJD wants to miss paychecks and stay away from the field, that's his prerogative. Fantasy owners should now be avoiding him like the plague. We'll let you know if any strong trade rumors materialize. As far as the Jaguars are concerned, Rashad Jennings
will be their starting running back this season, and fantasy owners should consider him an RB2. At 6-foot-1, 228 pounds and with decent receiving skills, Jennings has some qualities of a three-down back.
