Looks like we we will have two No. 1 wide receivers hitting the field for the first time this year Friday night in Kansas City. Dwayne Bowe will be on one side, and Seattle Seahawks wideout Sidney Rice
will join him. Rice has been brought along slowly during training camp as he recovers from offseason surgery on both shoulders and a pair of concussions that took place last season. But as Liz Mathews from 710 ESPN in Seattle reports that the Seahawks are ready to see him in a limited capacity for their third preseason game.
Fantasy Analysis:
Yesterday was the first time that Rice was allowed to practice without any limitations, so don't expect to see him get more than a few snaps Friday. At least it's progress. Rice is obviously not in the same zip code as Bowe when it comes to fantasy drafts because he has been consistently injured and a major disappointment when active since the start of 2010. But Rice probably remains the Seahawks' No. 1 option on the outside, and a player with that type of opportunity isn't often found after Round 10 in drafts. I'd rather have Doug Baldwn if we're just talking about Seahawks WRs, but Rice definitely has a lot of value if he can stay on the field.
