Cleveland Browns rookie running back Trent Richardson started running in a pool this week after surgery.
Fantasy Analysis:
This is a good sign for the Browns - and of course, all fantasy football players. Richardson had been moving up a lot of draft boards prior to the news of this knee scope procedure to clean up some loose cartildge. The Alabama rookie had another procedure done on that same knee in February and there has been some concern about an issue that might reappear again. Trent may start running on the field next week at practice and all things point to him a go for week 1. Montario Hardesty
could steal some carries to start the season and Brandon Jackson
is in the mix on third down, but Richardson should eventually transition into carrying a full load later in the season. The No. 3 overall pick in the NFL Draft remains an intriguing RB option and remains a high-end RB2 play, if healthy that is.
