Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew: 'Things are going to work out'

Dug deep into a long holdout that is becoming more costly each day, for both him and his team, Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew @Jones_Drew32 told NFL.com in a Wednesday interview, "I think things are going to work out ... everything's going to be good."

Fantasy Analysis:

Good for whom? It's not good for Jones-Drew, who is losing money and valuable time with his teammates, preparing to go to work. It's not good for the Jaguars. Their brass has stood firm on their stance to not renegotiate MJD's contract. But I'm sure they would rather not want to head into this season without their best player. Maybe this is only good for Rashad Jennings @RashadJennings, Jones-Drew's backup who now appears to be the team's clear starter. He can catch and is big enough to handle work on all three downs. He should be in the RB2 discussion.
In that same interview today, Jones-Drew said that you should draft him No. 1 overall in fantasy. He says that every year, but now I think it's a stretch to take him prior to Round 4.

Stretch to take him prior to the 4th round??? Even in a worst case scenario where he doesn't start or even play for the first two weeks he is still worth a late second round pick or 3rd round at the latest. This drop off for him is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when you consider all of the questions with the RB tiers. Hes not Chris Johnson and will not show up out of shape, pissed off maybe, but not out of shape. I doubt hes even going to miss more than 1 week. He'll be back by Sunday and will be starting game 2. Even the threat of the Jags going to RBBC still warrant taking MJD prior to the 4th.

MJD has to learn a new offense... Possibly in Indy with the 32nd rated OL? Yep - sound like 4th round to me. JAX brass = stoopid.

MJD can start to see the dark at the end of his career (3 years out) and wants long term money... Pretty dumb of of JAX to front load his contract. My bet is that he is traded to DET for a first rounder, and Leshoure.
