Carolina Panthers wide receiver Brandon LaFell
told the Charlotte Observer that he feels this is "definitely" his year. "It's my third year. These guys (Carolina's coaching staff) are giving me a big role. I feel like Smitty's (Steve Smith) going to do his thing. And if I can give our offense another reliable weapon on the other side, that'll help out this whole team. LaFell is currently the team's No. 2 receiver.
Fantasy Analysis:
When Cam Newton was playing his best, he was able to get the ball to Smith first and foremost. If LaFell really can step his game up and contribute in bigger ways, this offense would really open up. Carolina already has two great backs, a developing quarterback, a solid tight end and one reliable wideout. Any other contributions are welcome. LaFell isn't yet ready for fantasy rosters, but he's certainly someone to keep an eye on.
