Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch out with back spasms

When the Seattle Seahawks play the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday night, don't expected to see Marshawn Lynch @MoneyLynch on the field. Lynch, one of the biggest surprises during the 2011 season, was unable to practice Tuesday and Wednesday and is considered unlikely to play in that third preseason game because of back spasms. Robert Turbin @RobT_33 will see more work if Lynch is absent.

Fantasy Analysis:

Back spasms forced Lynch to miss a game last season, so this is worth monitoring. However, this is probably the Seahawks playing it safe with their best player. It's hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Lynch is a team's best player once again, but there's no denying what a force he was last year. It's still difficult for me to trust him, because I'm not sure if last year was just a function of a guy looking to get paid or whom Marshawn Lynch really is now as a player. He was such a bust in three previous seasons, I keep thinking he's going to revert into his old form. But he has looked good during the preseason so far, and his current third-round ADP is about right. Expecting Lynch to score 13 times again, however, is foolish.
