The Cincinnati Bengals will likely be without their top two running backs for tonight's game against the Green Bay Packers. BenJarvus Green-Ellis
is being bothered by a toe injury that kept him out of last week's game versus Atlanta. But at least he has been in a game this month. Bernard Scott has a hand injury that will probably keep him off the field until the regular season. As far as tonight is concerned, Brian Leonard
is expected to get the start.
Fantasy Analysis:
Unfortunately, there aren't a whole lot of specifics out there about these injuries. Green-Ellis' toe could be a turf-toe situation, but we don't know. And while head coach Marvin Lewis has appeared very nonchalant in regards to Scott's hand injury, it's got to worry somebody that he probably won't play at all in the preseason. It must be a break, but I have yet to find any local source say as much. If you find one, please include it in the comments below.
Not that I care all that much, because I have been avoiding this backfield in drafts. Neither guy stands out to me as a clearly better talent, and Bengals coaches have said that they could see BJG-E and Scott splitting carries 50-50. No, thanks. Green-Ellis is going to get his touchdowns, but I think his current ADP of 65, according to FFToolbox, is too high.
