In a Thursday interview with USA Today, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick
said his injured ribs feel 80 percent healthy. It was just three days ago that Vick took a big hit from the Patriots linebacker Jermaine Cunningham that forced him out of a preseason game after just six plays. After going through a series of exams, Vick was diagnosed with no broken bones or cartilage damage, just a rib contusion. That and the thumb contusion on his throwing hand are why Vick won't play again this preseason, but he said he is "trying to make it to Sept. 9."
Fantasy Analysis:
It doesn't really matter how Vick feels now; the only concern is that he's well enough to start that opener versus Cleveland. With a little more than two weeks to go, It seems like he's on the right track. FFToolbox recently moved Vick down its QB rankings to No. 8. By now, you know all about the risks and rewards he presents.
