Excluding left tackle Tyron Smith, much of the Dallas Cowboys offensive line is in flux. Left guard Nate Livings is only now coming back from a hamstring injury. Center Phil Costa is expected to miss his third consective preseason game and his backup, Kevin Kowalski is on the PUP list. Right tackle Doug Free is still getting adjusted to the position after making the switch with Smith during the offseason.
Fantasy Analysis:
A quality offensive line can make all the difference. Just look at what the Houston Texans have been able to do the last couple years with Arian Foster (although they lost a couple guys this year). In any case, the Cowboys offensive line woes will trickle down to the rest of the offense. Fewer running lanes could hurt DeMarco Murray
. Inconsistent pass protection could limit Tony Romo and the production of his receivers. Dallas is looking for a couple rookies to fill in the gaps in the depth which will help in the long term. Offensive lines are the unsung heroes of fantasy football.
