Week 5? Week 6? One would believe certainly before Week 8. If you're lookng for a clue as to when Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall
will play in a game, don't ask him. His guess is as good as anyone else's.
"To be real, I don't know when I'll be ready to play," Mendenhall told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "I'm just working with the training staff and doing what I can to get on the field. ... I just try to take it as it comes and increase things as they go along, and wherever it puts me, that's where I'll be. I just at every day and do whatever I can."
Fantasy Analysis:
It will be at least three games. Then the Steelers have a Week 4 bye, and we'll go from there. Isaac Redman
figures to get majority of the carries out of Pittsburgh backfield in the meantime, as long as his balky hip holds up. However, he hinted this week that hip might affect him all season. This is not a real attractive group right now, but I think Redman as an early season flex option and Mendenhall as a late-round pick can't do you a lot of harm.
