The Seahawks have found a new team for Tarvaris Jackson
. The Buffalo Bills took on the 29-year-old quarterback in a trade Sunday. NFL.com's Michael Lombardi and Ian Rapoport broke the news. Details on compensation for the Seahawks have not been made available yet.
Fantasy Analysis:
Thus, we'll be updating this post soon. I expect that the Seahawks got the bare minimum for Jackson. It was no secret that the team was just going to cut him if it couldn't trade him, so I'm a little surprised the Bills paid any price for the mediocre quarterback. But this move became a necessity for the Bills since their backup QBs, Vince Young
and Tyler Thigpen
, have been dreadful this month.
Young: 25-of-52 for 276 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.
Thigpen: 11-of-23 for 94 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions. He didn't play in the team's most recent preseason game.
Ryan Fitzpatrick's job security has never been bigger. The Seahawks will happily move forward with Russell Wilson
and Matt Flynn.
