QB Vince Young cut by Bills

The Buffalo Bills signed Vince Young @VinceYoung in May to become their backup quarterback. Turns out, he couldn't even make it as the third-stringer. Young was released Monday, two days after a two-interception performance in the team's third preseason game. He had a preseason QB rating of 48.2.

Fantasy Analysis:

Young seemed to be the favorite to win that No. 2 QB job for most of the summer, but he just never got comfortable in Chan Gailey's offense. In the minds of Bills coaches, he couldn't even be out Tyler Thigpen @TylerThigpen4 and became expendable when they traded for Tarvaris Jackson @7tjackson on Sunday. At 29 years old, I expect Young to be given one more chance to compete as a backup for some quarterback-starved team. But barring an injury to one or a couple of teammates, his days as a starter in this league are long gone, as is his fantasy appeal.
