Matthew Stafford
's hand injury was such a minute concern, he was practicing less than 48 hours later. The Detroit Lions' starting quarterback took part in Monday's practice despite injuring a hand during Saturday's preseason game against the Oakland Raiders. Specifically, Stafford suffered a broken blood vessel in his left, non-throwing hand. He didn't even wear a protective glove during Monday's work.
Fantasy Analysis:
There might be a little pain involved, but nothing to worry about for the start of the season. Stafford is an easy top-5 QB, and I would put him in front of Cam Newton. He's got much better weapons on the outside, and I highly doubt Newton will repeat his 14 rushing touchdowns from last season. And while I don't want to jump the gun here, I really don't consider Stafford to be an injury worry.
