It was the groin, then the hip, now the ankle for Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman
. He did not participate in Monday's practice due to a sore ankle. Head coach Mike Tomlin said that a number of players, including Redman, missed practice because of "minor bumps and bruises."
Fantasy Analysis:
So this doesn't sound like a long-term issue. But Redman hasn't exactly proven to be durable this offseason. I was a big supporter of his some weeks ago, thinking that he would be the team's clear starter as Rashard Mendenhall rested on the PUP list. Well, as we all know, Mendenhall won't begin the year on the PUP list. He may instead return by Week 5, and Redman had been banged up and unimpressive during two preseason games. Those two things might be related but whatever the case, Redman will probably now give away a noteworthy amount of carries to Jonathan Dwyer
and Chris Rainey
. This has turned into an ugly situation for fantasy purposes.
