Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch still not practicing due to back spasms

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch @MoneyLynch didn't participate in the team's third preseason game due to back spasms. Unfortunately, they have kept him out of action since. Lynch now hasn't practiced in a week because of the spasms and will not play in Thursday's preseason finale.

Fantasy Analysis:

Lynch might not have played this week even if he was healthy, but regardless, he's not healthy, so take heed to the news if you are drafting this weekend. Lynch may just be resting for the regular season, but this type of injury is noteworthy for Lynch since it caused him to miss a game during his outstanding 2012 season. Lynch isn't someone who excites me during drafts, but he is still a fine second-round pick. Just make sure to handcuff him to Robert Turbin @RobT_33. The rookie out of Utah State has looked outstanding in August.

There are still people out there who believe in the RB handcuff philosophy? Show me where that ever one a single FFL! Please, I'm going to waste a draft choice on Robert Turbin? Never even heard of him before now.

you will have heard of Turbin before the end of this year trust me. And some of us don't go in 10 team leagues and need depth players.

CJ Spiller? MIchael Bush? Kevin Smith? Pretty sure those are good examples of a handcuff from last year taking off after the lead back went down due to injury. So you've never heard of Turbin? You know of every player in the NFL? Whether you've heard of him or not if beside the point. You can wait til your lead back goes down due to injury and then be scrambling for a replacement when everyone else may be looking to scoop up the same guy.

Every Mike Shanahan-coached running back ever. This year, David Wilson is a good one. You have to be more open-minded.

It all depends on your bench size really. If you are doing hack free yahoo public leagues with no bench. then no handcuffs might not be the way to go. But if you are in a dynasty league where you have Taxi squads and 20 man rosters. Then you hancuff the he!! out of your players. Also maybe follow college ball, you would of heard of him. Guess it depends on how serious of FFL guy/gal you are

I never heard of Jimmy Graham last year until this site had me draft him. Worked like a charm.

I love people who don't handcuff. My favorite hobby is picking people up off waivers before someone realizes their RB is hurt and can't play for a few weeks. Of course, you never know going into the season who is most likely to need a handcuff. If you stick with a pair from a team that always runs, you can't go wrong.
