The NFL has finally handed down discipline for Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt
. He will be suspended for the first game this season and only the first game. He will be eligible to return Sept. 16 against the San Diego Chargers -- that is, if his surgically repaired knees are well enough to play.
Fantasy Analysis:
Wow, one game? I mean, I know that there hasn't been an overwhelming danger quality in many of Britt's arrests, but one game? I know three of his eight arrests occurred during last year's lockout, but one game? I'm obviously surprised.
Britt wouldn't have much in Week 1 any way, even if his knees were OK. The positive to this suspension is that it gives Britt more time to get healthy and perhaps take the field in Week 2. He'll be worked back in slowly, but as a sometimes-elite player who has dropped to the WR3 range in many drafts, Britt is worth a pick if you have a decent amount of patience.
