Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Sporting News wrote on Thursday that while Packers tight end Jermichael Finley
remains a focal point of the offense, he could cede snaps to D.J. Williams
this year. Silverstein said Williams is "smoother in his route running and has more reliable hands.
"Coach Mike McCarthy doesn't want to rely on Finley like he did at the start of the 2010 season and then wind up losing him to injury and having to remake the offense."
Finley played in all 16 games last season, but made it into just five games the previous season because of a knee injury.
Fantasy Analysis:
The hands are certainly an issue since Finley dropped 13 passes last year. But if he can get that corrected, he can be one of the most productive tight ends in the game. In the NFL, everyone assumes some amount of injury risk, but can we give Finley the benefit of the doubt after he played a full slate of games last season? He is a top-5 tight end.
