Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier told ESPN 1500 Twin Cities that running back Adrian Peterson
will "probably be a game-time decision" in Week 1. Frazier continued by stating, "We've got a lot of things we want to get done with him this week. I doubt that we would know without getting him through an entire week if we thought he were ready to play in a football game. We need to take him through some more things this week."
Fantasy Analysis:
Although that doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement to me, this could be a bit of gamesmanship to keep their Week 1 opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars, on their toes and gameplanning for multiple scenarios with and without Peterson in the lineup. Minnesota will already be without wide receiver Jerome Simpson
for three games so having as many of their playmakers available would be ideal. As most should already know, Toby Gerhart
will get the start should Peterson be unavailable to play.
