Steelers RB Jonathan Dwyer pushing for starting role

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jonathan Dwyer @JDwyer27 could overtake Isaac Redman @ired33 for the team's starting role after a solid performance (13 carries for 63 yards). The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette appears to be merely speculating during a game recap, rather than reporting on some inner workings. Redman is still recovering from ankle and hip injuries. F Dale Lolley, a beat writer for the Washington Observer-Reporter also speculated that Redman is at risk of being pushing into a role as a third-down back.

Fantasy Analysis:

While the beat writers are entitled to their opinion and are, of course, very close to the situation, it's still just an opinion. Until someone with the Steelers suggests otherwise, Redman is the back to own but this is obviously a tenuous situation. The separation between Dwyer and Redman is obviously thin to say the least. If you haven't drafted yet, I'd much rather draft Redman in the waning rounds of my draft rather than take a reach for Redman who's going earlier and earlier in drafts.

no it doesn't. its clear english. don't draft redman unless you can get him in a late round. he is the starter for now but that can change easily

I'm pretty sure he meant to say he'd rather take Dwyer in the late rounds of the draft than reach for Redman in the mid rounds.

He meant to say he'd rather draft Dwyer in the waning rounds than spend a higher pick on Redman.

Dwyer is the back between the two too have. I think he will solidify his spot and even when Mendenhall is healthy will still be a good player to have on your roster.

the sentence is stated perfect: its advised to take Redman late but, not in a round, where he's considered a reach!:))

Do you think Dwyer will be worth a spot over Austin collie on my ppr bench?
