Redskins RB Tim Hightower will be released today

Reports have been confirmed by Mike Jones, Washington Redskins beat writer for the Washington Post, via Twitter acknowledging that Washington Redskins RB Tim Hightower @Tim_Hightower will be released today. The status of other Redskins' players is still pending.

Fantasy Analysis:

This comes as somewhat of a surprise; however, it still doesn't cement any one of the remaining RBs as the bonafide starter. The other options include Evan Royster @Evan_Royster, Roy Helu @royhelujr29, and rookie Alfred Morris @Trey_Deuces. None of these RBs should be drafted as a RB1, RB2, or RB3 given the fact that it is probably going to amount to a running back by committee. Injuries have plagued Helu and Royster, thus making Morris worth a look with a late round flier. Note that Helu just came off of an impressive 2 touchdown preseason finale. This rotation is still a headache.
