Brandon Jackson may have taken over as Browns' No. 2 RB

Trent Richardson owners out there might have a new handcuff to consider. And if Richardson's knee isn't healthy in time for opening day, the Cleveland Browns might have a starting running back different from whom was expected to fill that role. According to ESPN Cleveland, Brandon Jackson @bjackson32 "may have stolen the No. 2 job and put himself in line to start Sept. 9 in the season opener" after his performance Thursday night. Jackson rushed seven times for 48 yards against the Bears. Montario Hardesty @MoHard20 was expected to be the next man in line. He gained 24 yards on six carries. But on the bright side, Hardesty didn't fumble for the first time in four games this monh.

Fantasy Analysis:

Sounds like speculation, but Jackson has played better than Hardesty during preseason action. Most importantly, he's been able to hang on to the ball. If Richardson can't play Week 1, these two would probably split carries, but we'll let you know who is named the starter if the rookie isn't able to make it.
On a loosely related note, I took Richardson in my auction draft last night. And now I am seriously regretting it. I have never wanted to trade an early round player so quickly and so strongly after picking him.

Multiple knee scopes in less than a year.
A rookie.
O-line is average at best.
He'll get a lot of carries, but there is not much outside of Richardson to distract defenses, meaning he'll get a ton of unwanted attention.
Speaking of defenses, there are some very good ones against the run in the NFC North.

Just a lot of negatives. And I'm naturally pessimistic
