Clyde Gates
has 4.35 speed. Roberto Wallace
is 6-foot-4. Not too long ago, both were seen as possible starters in time for the Miami Dolphins. On Friday, the Dolphins released both of them.
Fantasy Analysis:
Gates and Wallace might have raw talent, but it's not a good endoresement when the coaching staff thinks they'll be better off with Legedu Naanee
over both of them.
Gates was a fourth-round pick in last year's draft. His speed was hard to ignore, but he reportedly had a lot of trouble learning the nuances of the West Coast offense. Wallace wishes he had Gates' 40-time. He has the ideal body for an NFL wide receiver, but he was referred to by coaches on "Hard Knocks" as "ankle weights" Wallace for his lack of burst.
Who's left here? Naanee, Davone Bess
, Brian Hartline
... uh, that's about it. This is one of the worst WR groups I have ever seen on an NFL team.
