Maurice Jones-Drew
hasn't been in attendance at Jaguars camp for more than 12 hours and if you listen to head coach Mike Mularkey, it sounds like Jones-Drew will be playing for the Jaguars seven days from now.
"I had a really good visit this morning with Maurice, and I welcomed him in," Mularkey said, according to Fox Sports' Aaron Wilson. "I can tell he's ready to go, so we'll be working with him to get him up to speed as quickly as possible."
Fantasy Analysis:
Sounds great. But the fact is it's very unrealistic to think MJD will get even half of the carries during Sunday's game versus Minnesota. It's a huge cliche, but he needs to get into football shape and learn the new offense coordinated by Bob Bratkowski. I don't think Jones-Drew will be getting the majority of touches by Week 2 either, but that depends on how he progresses over the next two weeks. For right now, It sounds like MJD will get some snaps next Sunday, but Rashad Jennings
remains a very solid flex option against the Vikings.
