Jaguars still plan to start RB Rashad Jennings in Week 1

Maurice Jones-Drew might be "ready to go," according to his head coach, but that doesn't mean he will start right out of the gate. A team source has told NFL.com Ian Rapoport that the plan is still to give Rashad Jennings the start versus the Minnesota Vikings next Sunday. The source said Jennings would be chosen as the starter based on his impressive preseason and the fact that he has actually been at training camp while Jones-Drew held out for more money.

Fantasy Analysis:

To be expected. There's no way the team can expect MJD to be ready to start right away, and Jennings does deserve what he has earned. But with Jones-Drew back, it means that Jennings will probably be nothing more than a handcuff after a few weeks, seriously damaging his draft stock.
I know I said earlier that I wouldn't take Jones-Drew before Round 4. That was when we didn't know how many games he would miss. Now, for those of you who have yet to draft, MJD should be considered a second-round pick.
