The Miami Dolphins are taking a long look at former New England Patriots wide receiver Jabar Gaffney. Although battling a thigh injury, Gaffney has been holding out for a chance to re-sign with the Pats. Agent Drew Rosenhaus believes the Dolphins will sign Gaffney or Donte' Stallworth. New England appears to have moved on since trading for Greg Salas . Gaffney could figure into the starting lineup should he sign with Miami.
The Dolphins are trying to scrap together a team and the offense seems to be in trouble with only Reggie Bush being a viable fantasy star. Ryan Tannehill has a below average tight end and a receiving corps full of "fours, fives and sixes" just as general manager Jeff Ireland stated during the taping of "Hard Knocks." Bringing in Gaffney couldn't hurt, but he's a free agent now for a reason.
