Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace
is making up for lost time when it comes to learning Todd Haley's offense. It was feared that all of his missed practice time would hurt Wallace's ability to learn the playbook and affect him in the regular season. But Wallace, after taking part in his first team practice of the year Monday, said he is doing what he can to quell those worries in time for Sunday's game versus the Broncos.
"I have been studying [the playbook]," Wallace said. "I have a good grasp of it. It's just running the plays off of it. I am getting there. I like where I am at.
"The main thing is the timing aspect of it, just getting back to knowing what Ben (Roethlisberger) likes, what I like. It's not going to be hard because we have been together for so long. It's just a new offense. He just has to make sure I know what I am doing. I did prtty good today. But it was only one day; we have a long way to go."
Fantasy Analysis:
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Gotta learn the playbook, whatever. It's Mike Wallace; all he has to do is run straight and far. Ben will find him.
Seriously, Wallace looks like he'll be good to go this Sunday night and is a fine WR2.
