It's not a big surprise considering he missed most of the final three weeks of training camp after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery, but the Dolphins released quarterback David Garrard
on Tuesday. FOX Sports' Jay Glazer broke the news after receiving a text from Garrard stating that he would be cut. Garrard practiced Monday for the first time since having his scope on Aug. 11. But the Dolphins will presumably move forward with Ryan Tannehill
, Matt Moore and Pat Devlin at quarterback.
Fantasy Analysis:
Garrard thinks he'll be 100 percent in the next week or two; he just needs to find a place to play. I'm sure he will because he can be a pretty good backup for a young team in this league, if healthy.
This move doesn't change what I think of the Dolphins' passing game; it's still really bad. Tannehill is going to take a lot of lumps this year.
