Eagles HC Andy Reid would like to cut back on RB LeSean McCoy's carries

Eagles running back LeSean McCoy @CutonDime25 touched the ball 321 times last season. That's a number that head coach Andy Reid would like to reduce this season in an effort to keep McCoy healthier over the long term. He knows McCoy won't like to lose work, but Reid said he did the same with players such as Brian Westrbook, Correll Buckhalter and Duce Staley.
"Those guys hated when I had them in a rotation," Reid told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "But then when they had to single up and take all of the snaps, they found out, 'Ah, that rotation isn't all that bad.' It extends your career. It makes you stronger throughout the whole season. [McCoy will] fight it, and I'm OK with that."

Fantasy Analysis:

But the Eagles don't have anything proven past McCoy, so when they need someone to carry the mail, it's still going to go to McCoy. You should expect another 300-touch season for McCoy with double-digit scores and 1,500 yards from scrimmage. I have no concerns about his workload.

Of all the Eagles discussion we will have this year, I'm pretty sure we're not going to have one about LeSean McCoy's season workload.
