Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart misses third consecutive practice

Consider Jonathan Stewart
the anti-Trent Richardson when it comes to practicing at less than 100 percent. Both are hurt, but Stewart hasn't been able to take part in any practice this week, including Friday's session. In fact, Stewart hasn't practiced since spraining an ankle Aug. 26 versus the Jets. He is listed as questionable on the Panthers' official injury report.
Fantasy Analysis:
Head coach Ron Rivera has said multiple times that he is optimistic about Stewart's chances to play against the Buccaneers, but these practice reports tell us something else, and I certainly care about what does or doesn't happen on the field much more than some coach speak. Stewart should be on your bench right now; his carries will likely go to Mike Tolbert. But the main point here is that DeAngelo Williams
should be viewed as a strong RB2 without Stewart. He's going up against a run defense that was absolutely horrible in 2011.
