A league source told Pro Football Talk that "unless something crazy happens" Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch
is expected to play despite being listed as questionable because of back spasms. Throughout the week, Lynch's status has been considered a game-time decision situation, but this is the most definitive news yet. Rookie back Robert Turbin
will still likely see some action in order to not overwork Lynch in Week 1.
Fantasy Analysis:
While this is good news for Lynch owners, let's not suddenly forget that Lynch has been an injury prone guy throughout his career. He isn't a safe play but I can understand starting him regardless. Seattle will be relying heavily on him rather than putting the weight of the entire offense on Russell Wilson
's shoulders. That's why Turbin is a nice add in any format with good-sized rosters. Lynch is already banged up and we haven't even played a single game so it's safe to assume he'll need a week or two off sooner or later.
