You know what it means when an athlete tears an ACL; they are gone for the season. That's the case today with Bills wide receiver David Nelson
, who injured his knee during the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Jets. He caught two passes for 31 yards in the blowout.
Nelson recorded 61 receptions for 658 yards and five touchdowns last season.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Bills' receiving corps is already not the deepest group when it comes to talent, and now they'll have to forge ahead without their second-most productive wideout from 2011. Donald Jones
and third-round rookie T.J. Graham
are the next men up on the depth chart, and one of them will replace Nelson in the slot. However, considering how brutal quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick looked yesterday, Steve Johnson remains the only Bills receiver worth rostering in 12-team leagues.
