Vikings RB Adrian Peterson emerged from Week 1 no worse for wear

Sunday gave us another example why it is so difficult to believe what coaches say. And it gave us another example why Adrian Peterson @AdrianPeterson is simply unbelievable.
Peterson was supposed to handle the ball maybe 10-15 times Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars and split time with Toby Gerhart. Instead, less than nine months removed from needing surgery to fix the ACL, MCL and meniscus in his left knee, Peterson looked a lot like his familiar self. He ran for almost five yards per carry and a couple of touchdowns. He touched the ball 18 times; Gerhart touched it seven times.
On Monday, head coach Leslie Frazier said Peterson had not experienced any soreness or swelling in his knee since the game.
"So far, so good," Frazier said.

Fantasy Analysis:

What else can you say other than Peterson is just better than the rest of us? I haven't watched the entire game yet, but from what I did see, Peterson looked to possess his usual amount of power. I'll stop short of saying he's back to being the Old Adrian Peterson, but he's probably going to get at least 17-20 touches every week. He has a fantastic matchup in Week 2 at the Indianapolis Colts and is locked in as an RB1. Gerhart's fantasy value exists only as a handcuff again.
