Browns RB Trent Richardson got through Week 1 healthy

Sunday wasn't a productive debut for Browns running back Trent Richardson, but the good news is that he made it out of the loss to the Eagles without sustaining further damage to his twice-scoped knee.
"[Richardson] looked like a guy just back to me, but he was competing out there," head coach Pat Shurmur said. "He probably played 10 or 12 more plays than I wanted him to. But he's doing great today, and he pulled out of it OK."
Richardson was on the field for 43 of the Browns' 62 offensive snaps.

Fantasy Analysis:

The bad news is that Richardson obviously lacked speed and agility. Hopefully that improves as Richardson's knee reaches full strength. He carried plenty of power as was seen on the hit of the day as Richardson popped Eagles safety Kurt Coleman so hard, Coleman's helmet flew of.
More dire, the Browns' offensive line, especially its interior, was consistently caved in by the Eagles, giving Richardson absolutely nowhere to go on many runs. That was a major point of concern for Richardson owners coming into the season, and Week 1 did nothing but heighten it. Hopefully the sledding gets easier for Richardson next week when he visits the Bengals. He is a low-end RB2, but at least it looks like you can depend on him to handle the rock 20 times.
