Oakland Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford
requires surgery to repair his injured left foot. Head coach Dennis Allen told the San Francisco Chronicle that Ford "decided to have the operation after consulting with a specialist in North Carolina when the injury did not heal as quickly as hoped." Ford was injured during the Raiders' preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals. Ford also missed six games due to the same injury last season.
Fantasy Analysis:
Ford was a popular sleeper pick last season, but this injury derailed his season. It looks as though having this surgery will cut his season in half. Ford is a dynamic wideout who could really excel in the slot. Unfortunately for him, his NFL career has been beset by injuries and the Raiders have been lucky to draft Denarius Moore
last year and Rod Streater this year. Ford is a player to remember for the future should he ever be able to remain healthy.
