Kevin Acee, a beat writer with the San Diego Union-Tribune, tweeted that San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews
was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. He added that it "appears Mathews will play on Sunday" against the Tennessee Titans. This was the first time Mathews had contact during team drills since his injury on August 9.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Chargers really struggled to run the ball last Monday night and bringing back Mathews ensures they'll at least force the Titans to gameplan for a more balanced offensive approach. Mathews has missed six games over his first two seasons in the NFL but if he should see even a limited workload, he's worthy of a starting spot on your roster. Mathews accumulated over 1,500 total yards last season and has already become a consensus Top 5 fantasy RB. The Fresno State halfback will likely be a game-time decision since he is still listed as questionable.
