Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told 97.3 KIRO FM that he expects wide receiver Sidney Rice
to practice on Friday. The former South Carolina wideout was held out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday because of soreness in his knee. Rice has battled injury after injury. He's only played in 15 games over the last two season and has only played a full slate of games once in his six-year career. Rice had four catches for 36 yards and a score in Week 1.
Fantasy Analysis:
Rice is Seattle's best wide receiver even if he's rarely on the field to prove it. He's got size, strength, speed and possesses many other positive adjectives that don't begin with the letter 'S.' Assuming he's ready to play in Week 2, think of the sixth-year pro as a solid flex option against Dallas. As Russell Wilson
goes, as will Rice. Relying on a rookie QB's No. 1 receiver is still risky and there will likely be droughts of inconsistency.
