New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks missed Friday's practice because of a foot injury. He was a limited participant for Thursday's practice. This downgrade calls into question whether Nicks will be ready to play in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Bucs. Even with a few extra days off due to New York having not played since last week's Wednesday night game, Nicks missing practice should be disconcerting.
Fantasy Analysis:
Nicks will likely end up a game-time decision on Sunday and with that in mind, consider this a big bump to Victor Cruz
who could put up big numbers. Tampa played very well in their regular season opener against the Carolina Panthers but it should go without saying that the Giants have the much more dynamic passing game. For those looking down the Giants' depth chart, Domenik Hixon
had five targets in Week 1 and should see the most significant fantasy bump with Rueben Randle
and Ramses Barden
jockeying for the No. 3 spot should Nicks not play.
