Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart
is getting close to playing again after dealing with a sprained ankle for the past few weeks. He took part in limited practice all week and is listed as questionable to face the Saints on Sunday.
Wide receiver Steve Smith is also listed as questionable after leaving Thursday's practice early because of knee soreness. However, head coach Ron Rivera expects Smith to play.
Fantasy Analysis:
I'm not worried about Smith at all, and I love him this week against a Saints secondary that looked all out sorts versus the Redskins in Week 1.
Stewart is much more iffy. Even if he is active for this game, I'm not starting him. As awful as DeAngelo Williams
was last week, he'll still be around to take his share of carries. The addition of Stewart blurs the picture, and I'm not yet willing to trust either guy if both are playing. Stewart hasn't been in a game since Aug. 26, and I'd give him some time to show that he is fully healthy.
