Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon
went through another limited practice on Friday and is questionable to play this weekend due to a foot injury. Garcon had a big first quarter in Week 1 against the Saints. He put up 109 yards, including an 88-yard catch-and-run touchdown. However, Garcon injured his foot on that play and didn't return. Head coach Mike Shanahan said Garcon was "very limited" during Thursday's practice after sitting out Wednesday's session.
Fantasy Analysis:
Shanahan has also said that Garcon will play if he can tolerate the pain, so we'll see how he feels Sunday morning. If Garcon is out, that's obviously bad news for Robert Griffin III
, but I still like him as a fringe QB1 against the Rams. Santana Moss
might move into the starting lineup, but it was Aldrick Robinson
who prospered the most once Garcon departed. He caught four passes for 52 yards and a touchdown. Yet, if Garcon is inactive, I don't like any Redskins wide receiver as anything more than a desperate WR3. On the other hand, the table has been set for tight end Fred Davis
to have a nice game.
