Falcons WR Roddy White limited in Friday's practice

The Falcons don't play until Monday night, so they have an extra day to get all of their guys healthy. One of those guys is wide receiver Roddy White @roddywhiteTV. He has been limited in practice this week, including Friday, because of a groin injury. He caught six passes for 87 yards Sunday versus the Chiefs.

Fantasy Analysis:

White will play, and you should start him. There were plenty of times last year when he was on the injury report but still looked fine when it counted.
This note is really more about how I don't get people freaking out about White's fantasy value. Yes, Julio Jones was a beast in that first game, catching two touchdowns and gaining more than 100 yards. But that doesn't mean you should be worried about Roddy White. We kind of expected Jones to take over this year, but White can still be a top-10 WR. In that pass-heavy offense and with Matt Ryan at QB, it's very possible. He had eight targets last week, just one fewer than Jones, and he would have gotten more if the Falcons hadn't claimed such a large lead by the fourth quarter. If someone is overreacting about White, thinking his stock is going to be really damaged by Jones' presence, step on in there and trade for him. I bet he'll end up posting something similar to 2011's totals.
