The Patriots have definitely found their starting running back in Stevan Ridley
. It looks like his scheduled backup might return to the field this weekend. After missing the season opener in Tennessee because of a foot injury, Shane Vereen
has taken part in some limited practices this week and is officially questionable to play Sunday versus the Cardinals.
Fantasy Analysis:
We worry about Bill Belichick pulling the rug out from under our feet when it comes to his running backs, but there's no doubt that Ridley is locked into the starting job after what he showed against the Titans. He'll continue to get the large majority of the carries and is an outstanding RB2 versus the Cardinals. Vereen's return will impact Danny Woodhead
the most. Those two will probably split playing time behind Ridley. He's not a fantasy alternative at this point.
