Titans running back Javon Ringer
hasn't yet played this season and has already been ruled out for Week 2. But that's not what's important. Ringer told The Tennessean on Friday that the elbow infection he's been fighting for about two weeks -- an infection that put him in the hospital for four nights and has required two surgeries -- could have cost him his left arm.
"At first, even though it was swollen, ... I knew it was serious, but I didn't know the extent of it until after the first surgery," Ringer said. "[Doctors] said they wanted to hurry up and get to it because if it got in my bloodstream, I probably could have lost my arm."
Fantasy Analysis:
Amazing stuff. Ringer hopes to practice some time next week. Jamie Harper and Darius Reynaud will be the RBs tasked with sporadically replacing Chris Johnson until Ringer returns.
