CBS Sports' NFL insider Jason La Canfora reported that Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon
will not play in Week 2 against the St. Louis Rams. Garcon was injured during his 88-yard touchdown catch and run in the first quarter against the New Orleans Saints. A source close to the team said, "It's pretty hard to play when the first time you really even try it is before the game."
Fantasy Analysis:
It's hard to not be excited about the Redskins as half the team seemed to score a bunch of fantasy points last week. Garcon is a great sell-high candidate although you have to admit, he looked great after the catch on that touchdown. When he does eventually come back, he looks like a solid WR2. In the meantime, rookie WR Aldrick Robinson will see more snaps and given the nature of this matchup, starting him as a flex isn't out of the question (it's just really risky).
