For the second time this season, Titans head coach Mike Munchak fielded questions after a loss about whether he has thought about benching running back Chris Johnson
. His answer remains, "No." Munchak said Johnson will not be benched after his eight-carry, 17-yard rushing performance. He also said Monday the failures of the running game are not just Johnson's fault. Johnson has rushed for 21 yards on 19 carries this season.
Also on Monday, Munchak had to defend quarterback Jake Locker. He completed half of his 30 attempts during Sunday's loss and has a 2:3 touchdown-to-turnover ratio through two games. According to The Tennessean's Jim Wyatt, Munchak said Locker has made some mistakes, but there's no guarantee things would have gone better with Matt Hasselbeck
under center.
Fantasy Analysis:
What to do with Chris Johnson? Oh, what to do, what to do? If you own him, I would go ahead and sell low. Try to not get bamboozled, but I have no problem dealing Johnson for maybe 50 cents on the dollar. He is not running hard or running smart. His offensive line is terrible. His quarterback isn't doing him many favors in terms of diverting attention. And while it's hard to make determinations on defenses more than a few weeks in advance, he's got a number of tough run defenses on his upcoming schedule. I'd like to hear what you are offering/being offered for CJNotOK.
Locker is a clear QB2 and not a strong one. His job seems to be at risk more than's Johnson's. Maybe a healthier Kenny Britt can help turn things around soon.
