UPDATE: Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw, WR Hakeem Nicks miss Tuesday's practice

It's the same story, just with a different day. The Giants were without running back Ahmad Bradshaw and wide receiver Hakeem Nicks during practice Tuesday. The New York Daily News didn't mention any sight of Bradshaw, but Nicks was seen riding a bike during the portion of practice open to the media. The GIants have yet to disclose the specifics of his neck injury, but the Daily News reported yesteday that it is thought to be a sprain. Nicks is resting after having his surgically repaired foot stepped on by a Buccaneer during Sunday's game. Neither played practiced Monday. The Giants play Thursday in Carolina.

Update: Head coach Tom Coughlin said after practice that Nicks will play Thursday. He is holding out hope "against all odds" that Bradshaw and other injured Giants will be active.

Fantasy Analysis:

Someone other than me will be around to let you know what happens during Wednesday's practice, but I assume Bradshaw won't see any field time in that session either. Coughlin's words pretty much tell us that he's not going to play this week, so make sure you pick up Andre Brown @drebrown35. As I wrote about yesterday, it looks like he is clearly Bradshaw's backup right now, not David Wilson.
Nicks should be OK by Thursday. I am not concerned about his lack of practice. But it would be comforting to read about him participating tomorrow.

Don't worry about too many eggs in one basket. It's all about starting the lineup who you think can get your the most points. Brown has a good matchup versus Carolina, and it looks like he'll get 15 touches. If you need him, I wouldn't shy away just because you have Eli and Nicks.
