Nothing has been reported to make anyone assume that Jonathan Stewart
re-injured his ankle during Sunday's win over the Saints. That being said, Stewart didn't practice Tuesday. He made his season debut on Sunday and touched the ball 12 times for 68 yards and a receiving touchdown. Prior to that, he had missed two weeks due to a sprained right ankle.
Fantasy Analysis:
Something to keep an eye on, but I think Stewart will play in this game. The Giants have allowed a double-digit fantasy points to DeMarco Murray and Doug Martin in each of their first two games, so the matchup is good enough for the Panthers' RBs. Now, who is going to benefit the most? That's a tough question to answer. It could be Stewart, but it could be DeAngelo Williams
. Or it could even be Mike Tolbert as he vultures a short score. Stewart will probably get a maximum of 15 touches and is just a decent flex start Thursday night.
