Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Laurent Robinson
sustained a concussion in the first quarter of his team's thrilling win over the Indianapolis Colts. He was questionable to return and ended up sitting out the remainder of the game. After a career-best 2011 season with the Dallas Cowboys where he had 54 receptions for 858 yards and 11 TDs, Robinson has struggled to established himself in Jacksonville. Through two games, he's had a servicable eight receptions for 115 yards and failed to register a reception before his injury.
Fantasy Analysis:
Robinson should be cut from your roster if he has already not. Even though he is the Jags' No. 1 receiver, the former Illinois St. star is not performing well enough to merit your patience or consideration. QB Blaine Gabbert
is doing well to limit his turnovers compared to his rookie season, but he's only passed for 208 yards in his last two games and his completion percentage is 50.6-percent. This type of inconsistency should compel you to get far, far away from Jacksonville's offense, excluding the immensely talented RB Maurice Jones-Drew
. Gabbert has to continue to improve and show some type of continued chemistry with a receiver and not rely on fluke deep passes to Cecil Shorts
. Avoid Jacksonville's receivers if you can.
