The Bills' running game might be operating at full power on Sunday, but we probably won't know until Sunday morning. Both C.J. Spiller
and Fred Jackson
practiced Friday in limited fashion, and they are listed as questionable to be active against the Patriots. According to Joe Buscaglia of WGR550.com, head coach Chan Gailey said after practice that both players have a "legitimate" chance of playing.
Fantasy Analysis:
Jackson has a higher probability of suiting up because he was able to do quite a bit more than Spiller during the practice week. Judging by the words of Gailey and Jackson, it seems like his knee has improved at a nice pace this week. Meanwhile, there hasn't been a whole lot revealed about the status of Spiller's shoulder, and playing this weekend kind of feels like he's rushing it.
The Patriots have allowed just one touchdown to running backs through three weeks, so the matchup isn't extremely tasty. But I think Jackson will be available while Spiller sits this one out. Thus, I expect Jackson to handle at least 15 touches and is a decent RB2 in his first week back from injury. If either guy is active, Tashard Choice
should be benched in all leagues.
