Matthew Stafford
and Mikel Leshoure
are expected to play Sunday versus the Minnesota Vikings, but only one of them is a sure thing. That's Stafford, who entered the week with a hip injury but practiced on Thursday and Friday and didn't look to be hindered at all, according to beat writers.
Leshoure was on the practice field for each of the three sessions this week, but he was limited each day because of a sore groin muscle. He is officially questionable for the game.
Fantasy Analysis:
The only reason why Stafford concerns me is the fact that he hasn't thrown more than one touchdown pass in any game this year. However, the Vikings' pass defense is very average, and Stafford remains a rock-solid QB1. That's not to say he is a must-start. If you have someone such as Matt Ryan or RGIII, I would use either over Stafford.
Again, Leshoure is expected to give it a go, but you just knew he was going to get dinged up after getting a monster workload in his first football game in more than a year and a half. I think Leshoure is still an RB2 because he's probably going to get 16-20 touches, but I expect both Joique Bell
and Kevin Smith
to be involved this week.
