San Diego Chargers kicker Nate Kaeding did not travel with the team and will not play on Sunday due to a groin injury. San Diego will rely on K Nick Novak in Week 4. Kaeding missed nearly all of the 2011 season and Novak challenged him for a roster spot in pre-season.
Fantasy Analysis:
Kaeding has performed like a low-end K1 this season for fantasy owners, but because of this injury, there's no need to show any loyalty by keeping him on your roster. There are a quite a few no-name kickers and first-year guys performing very well so picking one of them up should be a top priority if you're looking for a replacement. Even adding Novak, if only for one week, isn't a bad idea since the Chargers have been stalling near the end zone. If a kicker on waivers has more points than your current kicker, replace them. Simple as that.
